An 8-Hour Flight for One Turn of Light

We had been talking with this client for over a year. Everything was discussed, yet progress felt distant—visible but untouchable, like separated by a layer of glass.

We knew that glass had to break. So, in July of last year, with a newly mass-produced unit in tow, we boarded an eight-hour transoceanic flight. This wasn’t a casual trip, but we carried a firm belief: some experiences require being there in person; some light must be seen with one’s own eyes.

The fatigue of the long journey vanished the moment the light appeared on the wall.

When that beam—crisp in structure yet dazzlingly intricate—lit up the space, he fell silent. After a few seconds, he pointed at the flowing, diamond-like speckles within the light and asked, “Is this effect… fixed, or can I play with it?”

“You can try it yourself.” We gently turned the unit toward him.

He took the focus knob. First, he rotated Prism Wheel 1—the beam instantly transformed into several parallel, clean curtains of light, like a rational grid of illumination.
Then, he engaged Prism Wheel 2. Magic happened. Each of those calm light curtains now “bloomed” with countless delicate, shimmering starbursts, beginning to rotate and flow gracefully.

“I see,” he leaned back, his face breaking into a different kind of smile—one filled with curiosity. “This isn’t just a light. It’s an editor for light. These two prisms are the brushes.”

At that moment, the barrier of a year dissolved, melted by this “editable” beam. The conversation shifted entirely from “what do you have” to “what can I create with this.” He decided on the spot to keep that mass-production unit and move forward immediately.

Weeks later, we received his video. In his space, that “edited” light became the protagonist of the story—the result was breathtaking.

After watching it together, a younger colleague exclaimed, “The effect is so tangible. It makes me want to order one for our own showroom right now.”

This is the story of Prism King. It is no longer a concept awaiting tests, but a mass-produced, within-reach “universe of light.” We flew eight hours, ultimately for one simple moment: to let the client turn the knob, see the possibility with his own eyes, and then make the decision himself.
